Hi to all. I look forward to seeing fellow "Peakers" while training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Please feel free to say "hi" to me as extra encouragement is welcome, and feel free to ask how you can help the cause. I just wanted to post my link which is in the latest issue of Peak On the GO! info.avonfoundation.org/goto/mickiwhitacre I plan on updating training and fund raising efforts on the board:) Micki

Awesome! I am required to raise $1,800 to participate in the walk and could use all the help I can get. Peak has been great and very supportive....they are allowing me a day to set up a table and have a fund raiser:) Thanks again Micki

Micki! How is the walking going? How many miles a week are you at?

Thank you for asking about training. It is going just OK. I have been enjoying the cross training more than the walking. I am up to about 12 miles a week and next week I should be aiming for 17. The treadmill is not my friend mostly because I get a little bored after about 45 minutes of walking. On a side note, yes we will be having a charity garage sale:) I am looking for people to donate items if they can. I plan on holding the sale in late March early April. Also on Monday Feb. 8 and Saturday Feb. 13 Peak will be allowing me to hold a raffle/bracelet sale for my walk!!! Look for the table have some baskets and gift cards to raffle off as well as pretty bracelets. I hope to see everyone there! Micki
